The reason I say this, vis that this cd has material from jst not one company, but more then one company. There are his songs that was recorded for Sun Studios, MGM, Virgn, and Moment Records. Now it was Moment Records that proudced more Roy Orbison hits, and it was hard to believe, that before the Roy Orbison era, they only scored one hit. You have the known hits like Candy Man, Only the Lonely, Oh, Pretty Woman, Blue Bayou, Leah, Sweet Dream Baby, Running Scared, Crying, It’s Over, Go, Go, Go (Down the Line), Ooby Dooby, and In Dreams. The cd starts off with 3 songs that was recorded by Roy Orbison and the Teen Kings, and they are Oooby Doby, Go, Go, Go (Down the Line), and a very rarely hard song called “Rock House”. And then it gets into songs that he recorded for Moment Records, which finishes off disc 1, and then moves on to Disc 2, where you 3 songs from his last album called “Mystery Girl”, and they are You Got It, She’s a Mystery to Me, and Californa Blue. And then you have some of the very rarely heard songs like I metioned earlier, Rock House, Crawling Back, Best Friend, Lana, Walk On, and Ride Away. There also live verisons of his songs like Running Scared, The Comedians, and Cladette. Now I have heard Roy Orbison sing Lana when he pefromed live at Austin City Limits, and Walk On on his Greatest hits cd and dvd, and then there are the ones that I have never heard of, and might not have if not for this cd. Now I am used to hearing Only the Lonely, the first song on either a live album, or a cd that is made of his studio recordings, or even the filmed concerts that we do have of Roy Orbison. The trickets part of this cd, is getting to disck 2, the little door, that they have closed, that they have the other disc closed in, and I am not used to having 2 cds, when you normmaly get 1, but here you get 2 dicks for the price of one, so I hope that you will enjoy this cd, and maybe discover these little known songs for yourself.

I had most of Roy Orbison’s recordings except for Ride Away and his duet with Emmy Lou Harris, That Loving you Feeling Again and they were both on this CD. Worth doubling up just for these 2 tracks.

While this set does include most of what should be considered “essential” Roy Orbison, there are far too many “filler” tunes as well.
